RV Life: Perfect Campground

Day 31

I was so reenergized from talking with family yesterday that I had a shower and laundry done by time the boys thought about moving. Best part laundry was only $1.00 per load!! While switching clothes I met the camp host who was definition of vibrant soul. She holds a real passion for nature and traveling. This lady was an amazing kind hearted spirit and her enthusiasm was contagious. She introduced me to Traveling Rocks on facebook which is a page where you can post pictures of your uplifting painted rocks hidden somewhere among your campground or a place in nature.

The weather was representing the most perfect summer day not to hot with a wonderful breeze.

We ended up loving this place so much we decided to stay another night so we rode our bikes down to pay and I mean down a decent hill, going up was a solid workout. Before heading back to the campsite we stopped up at the visitor center and enjoyed the interactive displays. Road the trail back and ended up just straight chilling out for most the day.

Next couple hours were spent lounging out on the large patio with the Texas map sprawled out planning our next bit of route. Next step to chill mode was getting silly!

We needed to burn some energy eventually so we biked down to the swimming area and hopped on the Hippy Point Trail. The trail is short but brings you along the lake to an overgrown area that holds a picnic table. Beware that this is alligator country hence me not sad about not swimming.

We rode back to the campground and let Phoenix play on the equipment for awhile before supper. After supper we gathered that firewood then headed for another round of sunset and boy o boy were we glad we did not miss this one.

Enjoyed a few hours around the fire before calling her a night.
